Policies
Public Play:
- Monday -Thursday – 7:00am to 3:00pm for 9-holes, 7 am to 12:45 for 18-holes
- Saturday, Sundays, and Holidays at the discretion of the Pro Shop after 3:00pm until closing, you must call the Pro Shop, 508-473-9876 for availability.
- The general public may book a tee time up to five days in advance for Monday thru Thursday tee times.
- Public and guest players must sign in and pay the greens fee at the Pro Shop before going to the 1st tee.
- No public or guest play is allowed if the Clubhouse is not open.
- Public/Guest tickets/receipts must be displayed at all times or be provided upon request.
- Alcoholic beverages not purchased from HCC are NOT allowed on the golf course at any time.
- Children under age 12 are not allowed on the golf course unless accompanied by an adult and approved by the Golf Professional.
Pace of Play:
- Players must maintain an average Pace of Play of 14 minutes per hole, or:
- 2 hours 6 minutes for nine holes
- 4 hours 12 minutes for eighteen holes.
Golf Cart Rules:
- Golf carts may only be operated by licensed drivers who have paid a cart fee.
- Carts cannot be parked or driven closer than thirty (30) yards from all greens and aprons except when on a cart path. Roped off areas and cart signs supersede the thirty (30) yard rule.
- Golf cart drivers must utilize cart paths on the 3rd/12th, 6th/15, and 9th/18th holes.
- Golf cart drivers must comply with all cart signs and avoid roped off and wet areas.
- Players may only ride in a golf cart if they have paid the applicable cart fee.
- Players must use care and caution to secure golf carts when not in motion.
- Pull carts should not be driven or placed on greens or tees.
- RULES FOR HANDICAP CART USAGE
- Handicap flag privileges are reserved for players who have a debilitating medical condition that does not allow them to comply with the standard cart rules.
- The Club Pro or Assistant will have the authority to grant or deny a request for a handicap flag on a day-to-day basis due to weather or course condition.
- Carts cannot be parked closer than thirty (30) feet from all tee, green, and aprons except when on a cart path.
- Any area that appears to be wet or is marked must be avoided, particularly the 6th/15th hole.
- Should the Greens Superintendent ban carts for any given hole(s), except for cart paths, this shall also apply to carts with handicap privileges. Should a player not be able to walk out to their ball in this situation, they may skip the hole and take a score for the hole based on equitable stroke control rules (ESC).
- Golfers must use cart paths when traveling to and from the green wherever possible.
- Whenever possible the 90-degree rule should be used, particularly on holes with cart paths, including the 3rd/12th, 6th/15th and 9th/18th holes.
- The handicap flag privilege applies only to the handicap applicant and not to a passenger in the same cart.
- Carts must have the handicap flag mounted to qualify for handicap privileges.
Bag Tags:

- If you have not picked up your new 2026 Bag Tag they are available in the Pro Shop. All Members: Individual, Couples, Family, Weekday, and Junior members should display his/her Member Bag Tag at all times.
Tee Time Protocols:

- All Members must make a Tee Time, check-in with the Pro Shop and be responsible for the payment of green and cart fees for any guest or member cart fees at the Pro Shop before going to the 1st tee.
- Prime time hours are 1:00 – 5:30pm on Fridays and from opening to 1:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays.
- During prime-time hours, singles and twosomes may not tee off from the 1st or 10th holes on Fridays between 1:00pm and 5:30pm. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, singles may not tee off before 2:00pm, and twosomes may not tee off before 12:00pm. The Head Club Golf Professional or Assistant Club Pro may allow singles or twosomes to play during periods of light activity.
- If you are a single looking to play call the Pro Shop and they can put a member on the “stand by” list to match members into a threesome or foursome during prime and non-prime time hours.
- A single may reserve a tee time online. This allows other members who are looking to play to join in. When the Pro Shop sees an opening to make threesomes or foursomes they are asked to do so.
- It is your responsibility to know and abide by any restrictions to your membership.
- All Primary (Full) Members can make a tee time starting at 12:00am, eight (8) days in advance (e.g., make a tee time on Friday, June 26th for Friday, July 3rd).
- All non-Primary (Spouse and Junior) Memberscan make a tee time starting at 12:00am, five (5) days in advance (e.g., make a tee time on Monday, June 29th for Friday, July 3rd).
- All Public golfers can make a tee time starting at 12:00am, five (5) days in advance (e.g., make a tee time on Sunday, June 28th for Thursday, July 2nd).
- A golfer, who reserves a tee time, but fails to arrive and check-in at the Pro Shop at least 15 minutes prior to that reserved tee time, cannot be guaranteed their tee time slot.
- The last four (4) tee times shown on the tee sheet each day are “Walking” only. After the last tee time members may tee off from 1st hole on a first come first play basis.
- Golfers who need to cancel a tee time must do so online or by calling the Pro Shop at least one hour before their scheduled time. Golfers who do not cancel or check-in will be marked as a “no-show.”
- Three (3) or more tee time “no-shows” will result in disabling a golfer’s ability to make an online tee time and forfeit any future use of the automated tee time system for up to the remainder of the golf season. The decision of the Pro Shop personnel is final for the administration of this policy at the Golf Course
- Public/Guests may not play unless the daily green fee has been paid while the Pro Shop is open.
- New Junior playing time rules are in effect this year. All Junior members have been informed of the restrictions, and each Junior member and an adult have signed a form kept in the Pro Shop:
- Monday – Thursday – Junior Members can make a 9 or 18-hole tee time from course opening up to 12:45pm for play Monday – Thursday.
- For tee times between 12:45pm to 3:00pm all junior members can only make a 9-hole tee time.
- No tee times are allowed after 3:00pm.
- This policy also applies to the putting green and driving range facilities.
- Fridays – Junior Members can make a 9 or 18-hole tee time from course opening up to 9:45am for play on Fridays.
- For tee times between 9:45am to 12:00pm a Junior member can only make a 9-hole tee time.
- No tee times are allowed after 12:00pm.
- This policy also applies to the putting green and driving range facilities.
- Saturday, Sunday & Holidays – Junior Members can make a tee time for play after 2:00pm.

- No tee times are allowed prior to 2:00pm.
- This policy also applies to the putting green and driving range facilities before 2:00pm.

- Overall – Juniors are not allowed to play evenings after the last tee time of the day on Mondays – Fridays.
- Evening play after the last tee times is reserved for Primary members only.
- A junior member may play after last tee time if accompanied by a Primary Member.
- Please note Golf Rangers will be roaming the course during this period to make sure this rule is adhered to.
- Monday – Thursday – Junior Members can make a 9 or 18-hole tee time from course opening up to 12:45pm for play Monday – Thursday.
Smoking:
NO SMOKING within fifty (50) feet of clubhouse including deck! This continues to be an issue that must be stopped. We are a bar/restaurant and smoking or vaping in a bar/restaurant is prohibited by law in Massachusetts. There will be consequences for any member or patron who fails to follow the club rules and laws of the state. We have a designated patio area outside for anyone wishing to Smoke or Vape.
Alcohol:
Our ALCOHOLIC license incudes the restaurant, bar, and full course including practice area.
- By law, golfers and patrons cannot consume outside alcoholic beverages anywhere on course property. Doing so jeopardizes our state liquor license to serve alcohol.
- We offer a full bar and occasionally a beverage cart on the course for any of your needs for an alcoholic drink.
- All members and guests are reminded not to bring any alcoholic beverages on site that are not purchased from the club. There will be consequences for any member or patron who fails to follow the club rules.

Practice Area:
All golfers are welcome to use the practice area and putting green while waiting to tee off or practicing shots of 180 yards or less. Practice balls are available for purchase in the Pro Shop. Please follow the posted practice area rules.
- Keep carts off practice tees.
- Return baskets to pro shop when done hitting practice balls.
- Must hit between ropes only.
- Must hit practice ball out towards flags in one direction.
- If you can hit any club in your bag over 180 yards do not use on here. (e.g., no drivers for most players).
- Practice green reserved for chipping and putting, not full shots from practice teeing area.
- Repair hitting area with divot mix when done hitting/practicing.
- Practice areas are for members, guests of members and daily fee players who have paid for a bucket of balls or have a range membership.
- Practice is allowed only on the putting green and in designated practice areas. Hitting multiple balls on the course is not allowed.
Golf Attire:
Proper golf attire to include footwear/shoes is required at all times on the golf course, putting green, and practice area.
- The following attire is not permitted:
- Blue jeans, cut-offs, swimwear, athletic shorts, tennis shorts, tank tops, and sweatpants.
- Men must wear collared shirts.
- The Club Pro or Assistant reserves the right to deem any attire to be inappropriate for golf and not allowable on the golf course.
Important Reminders:
- Repair ball marks on greens.
- Replace or fill divots on tees and fairways.
- Rake bunkers after use.
- Follow cart rules and all posted course signage.
- Keep pace with the group in front of you.
- Respect fellow golfers, staff members, and course property.
- Junior golfers must follow all course rules and golf etiquette standards
- Be patient and courteous during busy periods.
- Proper Golf attire is required everywhere on the golf course.
