Head Pro, Mark Copithorne
With more than 30 years of experience in the golf industry, Mark brings a lifelong passion for the game and a proven record of leadership at several prominent New England clubs, where he has served as Director of Golf and head golf professional. Known for a patient, engaging teaching style, he works effectively with golfers of all ages and abilities – from children and beginners to advanced, seasoned players.
A former instructor for Nike US Sports Camps, Mark offers both individual lessons and group clinics, including specialized programs for kids, women, and new golfers. His expertise spans all aspects of tournament administration and golf course management, supported by extensive knowledge of club selection and game strategy.
In addition to his instructional and operational strengths, Mark is recognized for outstanding people skills and a warm, approachable presence that makes every member and guest feel welcome. He has also enhanced the club experience by curating and expanding a high-quality selection of golf gear and apparel in Hopedale Country Club’s newly renovated Pro shop.
